Unlike QoD, QoS Provisioning is a long-term assignment: set a fixed connection quality for a device, automatically applied each time it connects, until revoked.
Assign a quality level to this device. All its traffic will use that level from then on.
The quality level is still applied automatically after the device restarts and reconnects.
Delete the assignment when it is no longer needed. The device returns to a regular connection.
How it differs from QoDQoD is a priority connection with a time limit. Provisioning is a fixed, long-term setting that lasts until revoked.
Best suited forDevices in fixed locations that need a stable connection over the long term, such as security cameras and POS terminals.
QoS Provisioning: How it works
- Assign a quality levelThe service provider sends the device and QoS level.
- Auto-appliedThe assigned quality level is applied automatically each time the device connects to the network.
- RevokeAfter the assignment is deleted, the device returns to a regular connection.
